The Wirrina Young Musicians’ Contest is back for the 2025 Wirrina Bluegrass & Acoustic Roots Festival!
Are you a young person (18 or under) who sings and/or plays music in Bluegrass or Acoustic Roots genres? Or do you know a young person who might be interested in playing at Wirrina? The Wirrina Young Musicians’ Contest is a great opportunity for young people to play to an appreciative audience. And there are prizes! Winners will also get to perform on the big stage after the competition
When & Where: Sunday, 23 November, 12:15 pm at the Blackboard Tent
Please assemble outside the Blackboard Tent by 12:15 pm for a 12:30 pm start. (Asite map will be included in the festival program booklet; festival office volunteers can give further directions for those needing assistance).

● Microphones will be provided – no need to bring your own. We’ll adjust these for you and do a quick sound check before your performance.
